As part of the ongoing Ramp Pontoon Upgrade Project, Marine Structures will be undertaking works at the marina on Monday 17 August.

To facilitate these important upgrades, the ramp will be unavailable for use between 9:00am and 2:00pm. We ask all marina users to plan accordingly and exercise caution in the area during the works.

Work Schedule

  • 9:00am – Slew crane set-up (approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour)
  • 10:00am – Wynnum Manly Yacht Club to place barge into the water
  • 11:30am – Third truck arrives with piles and sleeves for unloading onto the barge
  • 1:00pm – Slew crane pack-up (approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour)
  • 2:00pm – Works complete

Important Safety Information

During the unloading process, there will be periods when materials are being lifted and transported by crane. When items are suspended in the air, traffic movement between the marina and the front gate will be temporarily stopped to ensure the safety of all staff, contractors and visitors.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these essential improvements are carried out and apologise for any inconvenience caused. The upgrades will help enhance the functionality and longevity of the ramp pontoon facilities for all users.

For your safety, please follow all site signage and directions from project personnel on the day.

The new bike rack is located at the entrance to the café, alongside the white screening, providing a convenient and secure place for members and visitors who choose to cycle to the club.

We would like to recognise and thank Bruce Hume for coming down and putting together the new bike rack for the club.  Whether on the water or behind the scenes, his ongoing commitment and volunteer efforts help make our club a better place for everyone.

The Bendigo Bank Community Raffle is back for 2026, and this year Wynnum Manly Yacht Club is proud to be supporting Men's Mental Health.

In addition to your support through purchasing tickets, we're also seeking volunteers to sell ticket's around the Club when they are here.

Why we need your support

Many members will remember the popular WMYC Men's Breakfast, which brought men from across the club together over a BBQ and a coffee. More than just a social catch-up, these breakfasts created opportunities for connection, conversation and support, giving members a chance to talk about what's happening in their lives and look out for one another.

To help bring this valuable initiative back, WMYC has joined more than 55 community and not-for-profit organisations across the Bayside and Redlands regions participating in the Bayside Community Fund's fundraising raffle, proudly sponsored by the Community Bank Victoria Point and Wynnum Manly branches of Bendigo Bank.

Fantastic Cash Prizes to Be Won

There are 13 cash prizes up for grabs:

🥇 1st Prize – $15,000 Cash
🥈 2nd Prize – $3,000 Cash
🥉 3rd Prize – $2,000 Cash

We encourage you to email office@wmyc.com or drop in and see Declan and Alyce if you would like to assist with Raffle ticket sales

Most Sunday afternoons, we hit the water as part of the SAGS series, a relaxed, friendly pursuit-style racing program enjoyed year-round. Beyond Sundays, WMSC also hosts a variety of race series and regattas across the season, with sailors of all experience levels always welcome to join the action.

Entries are now open for the 51st St Helena Cup, held over9–11 October 2026, and we're excited to welcome sailors from across Queensland back to Moreton Bay for another unforgettable weekend of racing, camaraderie, and competition.

Following the success of last year's milestone 50th anniversary regatta, the next chapter begins. For more than five decades, the St Helena Cup has brought together sailors, crews and clubs to test their skills on the bay while building friendships that last well beyond the finish line.

Whether you're returning to defend your title or entering for the very first time, we invite you to be part of this proud tradition.

Congratulations to our WMYC members who represented the club at this year's Airlie Beach Race Week in the stunning Whitsundays.

A special congratulations goes to Ian Thompson and the crew of Lillee and Thompson, who delivered an outstanding performance to finish 3rd Overall in Trailables & Sports Boats Division 1. Competing against a strong fleet over a challenging week of racing, the result is a testament to the crew's skill, teamwork and determination.

Well done also to the crew of Mr Magoo, who proudly flew the WMYC flag throughout the regatta and embraced the spirit of one of Australia's premier sailing events.

The spectacular scenery, excellent racing conditions and camaraderie on and off the water once again made Airlie Beach Race Week a memorable event for all involved. We congratulate both crews on their efforts and look forward to hearing their stories back at the club.

Well done, and thank you for representing WMYC with pride!
