We will be open this Saturday for ANZAC Day, welcoming members and guests to come together in remembrance and reflection.
The Captain’s Parrot will be open from 7:00am to 2:00pm, with the Latitude 27 bar opening from 10:00am. In keeping with ANZAC Day guidelines, alcohol will only be available for purchase with meals.
On this significant day, we acknowledge and pay tribute to our members who have served, as well as all past and present servicemen and women. We honour their courage, sacrifice, and enduring contribution to our community and country.
The closest commemorative service is the ANZAC Day Service - Darling Point Memorial, held at 6am. After attending the service, we invite you to pop in afterwards for a cuppa, a quiet bite, and a moment of connection.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to postpone the planned Amity weekend trip due to the forecast of persistent rain and 20‑knot southerly winds. While this is disappointing, the safety and comfort of all cruisers must always come first.
At this stage, Time Out may still head over to St Helena on Saturday night, weather and wind conditions permitting. A final call will be made closer to the time, depending on how conditions develop.

Most Sunday afternoons, we hit the water as part of the SAGS series, a relaxed, friendly pursuit-style racing program enjoyed year-round. Beyond Sundays, WMSC also hosts a variety of race series and regattas across the season, with sailors of all experience levels always welcome to join the action.

Congratulations to the Manly Dragons on an outstanding set of results across multiple races at the National Championships, showcasing depth, determination and teamwork across all crews. The club recorded impressive podium finishes in both the 200m and 500m events, a fantastic achievement for all involved.
Highlights included Silver in the 500m Senior C Mixed Small, Bronze in the Senior A Women Standard, and Silver finishes in both the 200m Senior B Mixed Standard and Senior A Women Standard. These results reflect the hard work and commitment of paddlers, coaches and supporters alike.
In the lead up to the competition, members have spent countless hours on the water, balancing work, life and training commitments with impressive dedication.
Training sessions have been running four days a week — Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday — with many members also making the most of the club’s single‑person training craft, along with gym work and additional paddling.
Well done to everyone who competed and trained hard with the MDBC - what a great performance and a proud showing for the Dragons!

Big Ron Rusalka the Company Director of Commander Ltd packed his briefcase and told his secretary Kylee he would see her when he returned from his vacation. Freedom at last he sighed and headed for the Murrundi pub for a Black Label Scotia and to play the Black Jack machines. He left the pub at 7.30 and decided to ring his wife Celest to make sure she had packed the bags and was ready to go on their Halloween vacation.
He was heading over the Crest of a hill on Bel Ami Road, Morningside when he saw a Teal coloured Holden Nova had hit a Vibrant Coral Coaster caravan. He stopped to see if he could be of assistance. The driver of the Nova, Shea Maree Tambua looked like a Viking Maid, she was a little Mis-stressed. Ms Tambua said Billetta borrow his car and now look at it. I better ring Timbelin’s the 3rd towing service. Ron left his Southern Lady to Seaka towing Company and went to help the occupants of the van. The Top Deck of the van had been sliced off and the van was on it’s side.
