Big Ron Rusalka the Company Director of Commander Ltd packed his briefcase and told his secretary Kylee he would see her when he returned from his vacation. Freedom at last he sighed and headed for the Murrundi pub for a Black Label Scotia and to play the Black Jack machines. He left the pub at 7.30 and decided to ring his wife Celest to make sure she had packed the bags and was ready to go on their Halloween vacation.

He was heading over the Crest of a hill on Bel Ami Road, Morningside when he saw a Teal coloured Holden Nova had hit a Vibrant Coral Coaster caravan. He stopped to see if he could be of assistance. The driver of the Nova, Shea Maree Tambua looked like a Viking Maid, she was a little Mis-stressed. Ms Tambua said Billetta borrow his car and now look at it. I better ring Timbelin’s the 3rd towing service. Ron left his Southern Lady to Seaka towing Company and went to help the occupants of the van. The Top Deck of the van had been sliced off and the van was on it’s side.

Trub’s Tub as the van was aptly named, had Value Added but now it was ruined. It looked worse than the Voyager. Ayesha and Fabiane Pisces and their children, Lisa-Maree, Margo and Darren Too, were heading to the Adalon Harbour where they were to board a Houseboat.

Imagine Ron’s surprise when he realised his friends were involved in this accident. Fabiane said a large Belerino sheep came out onto the road and the Nova avoided the sheep and ran him off the road instead. Ron said he would call his mate Quasar Mota to tow the van to his house in Cherney (II) Town. The tow truck driver was known for his Bad Habits he would Consort with the girls going from Contessa IIContessa (III) three or four times a week.

When they arrived at Ron’s house, they all went inside to have a coffee and a cadbury Time Out bar to try to calm their nerves. The group decided to leave for the houseboat in the Misty Dawn.

When they reached the harbour they boarded the Aqualine houseboat called Annabelle IV. Finally, the seven Venturers were on board and heading towards the Kindara channel. The channel was very shallow in parts and they had to use the Nomad III depth sounder; Their first stop will be the Isle of Coaster II get a feed of prawns and crabs for lunch.

They tied up to the jetty and the girls went off to the MV Stingray fish Co‑op while the men talked to the fishermen on the jetty. Their was a strange looking man sitting on the jetty, doing a Seachant. He’s doing that because he wants to see the Sunseeker and the Wave Dancer said Beaujolais II Ron. He’s a stubby short of a six pack, but the locals like him. On returning to the boat Celest said I think we’ll have a Barbie II nite.

They were approaching the Neronie Inlet, the Pinnacles were high on either side and the Reflections on the water were Dynamis. Ron yelled out Ez‑Up on the motor, we’ll Driftalong a bit before we anchor. They ate their lunch while looking around at the scenery. Lisa‑Maree was sure she spotted Ariel the mermaid but Darren told her it was her imagination, it really was a Stingray.

After lunch Ron decided to read the paper. Lady Di and Lady Aleisha were in the headlines once again something about Magic Moments they had spent with Almitra Divine and Jay‑Jay Rubicon. Ron was sick of the Royal family always being in the press. They could never have Freedom I (one) could dream of, constantly under surveillance and always having to have an Alibi as to why they do what they do. He quickly turned to the Classified section to read.

The girls took the kids ashore to explore and collect wood for the barbie. Sitting on a rocky outcrop they spotted a Puffin and a Jabiru sunning themselves in the afternoon sun. They had sat there so long that the tide had come in and Margo and Darren were stranded. The only way to shore was to swim. Margo got in and swam to shore. Darren was a little apprehensive but I suppose it was a Chan C 2 had to take.

When they got back to the boat they saw they had visitors a beautiful Midnight Blue Trailirtri Too small for the many occupants on board. Five in all. The girl Erlida was a real Tomboy and Jo‑Lin Too was a Lazy Lady. Fabiane asked Peter the owner of the boat how do you all fit on such a small boat? Peter replied this boat is My Joy I could never sell it for a bigger one. After that they all sat down and had a Cougar bourbon. Ron said he’d like to have a Rum Runner and the girls decided a Summer Wine would be nice. The kids settled for a Paddle Pop.

While they were sitting on deck they talked about where they would head tomorrow. Ron said he’d like to go to the Tropic of Capricorn to see the Tahua‑Rua Gorge. Everyone agreed. They packed up the picnic basket and went in to the Sandy beach for their barbie.

The next morning they headed north to the Tahua‑Rua Gorge. It was a very hot day so they applied Hombre Solero sunscreen so they wouldn’t get burnt. Darren said they all smelt like Orange Peel. When they reached the gorge they set out to explore it. They came across an Aboriginal Tribe called Kiora. The tribal leader Sol Virgo said we travel from Kiwai II Nandroya looking for food. Sol Virgo invited the group to come to dinner that night as they were celebrating Mullana Meroo the tribal God, Tardis, birthday. They had to arrive before sunset as the tribe start with a Sundance.

The feast was magnificent and the tribal customs were very interesting. The group was Spellbound. The tribal leader’s daughters Snugglepot and Cuddlepie did the Moongalba sky dance, this was to wish good weather upon all who travelled the great seas of the area. The leader yelled Time Out and the evening ended as quick as it had begun. Lisa‑Maree, Darren and Margo decided it was the most Satisfaction III of them had ever felt.

Everyone slept soundly that night. The next day they headed North. They stopped at the Port of Seahaven II to replenish their supplies. The shop owner Thurloo asked if they were going to see the Senibau IV tune which was recovered from the ocean liner Venturi I after it had sunk. The wreck is still there. Celest said she knew nothing about it. Thurloo gave her a mud map and said head for the Vanquisher channel then follow my map.

They headed up the channel, it certainly was nice, rocks on either side were covered with C‑Mos. They followed the map and moored at the Kalyngra anchorage. The site was only 1km away, so they decided to walk. Heading towards the wreck they met a family going there as well. The man said Hi my name is BJ Threeple and this is my wife Rosaliesel and Our Kelly, she’s three. They got to the wreck and discovered it had been turned into a Maritime Museum.

Robert and Melita Pantera looked after the museum and showed tourists around. Darren was given a bag of lollies and Fabiane said “Sunshare them around don’t eat them all yourself”. When Robert explained what had actually happened to the Venturer I, there was a Hush throughout the room. Later in the afternoon, they went to the Joyami Peacock farm which was on the Island.

They all got in the dinghy which became very lopsided so Ron said “make it Even Girl”, so Lisa‑Maree moved over. When they got back to the boat they decided to head off to Stradoosa II see their friend Robyn Jur‑rris. When they arrived they talked about their holiday. Robyn said let’s go to the Latin Restaurant Latvia for dinner. Ron said this is a great way to end our holiday. Next year let’s go up to Swiftsure and cruise around the Metani Islands.
