Current Positions Available:
Front of House Supervisor - Full Time
The Food and Beverage Supervisor will help lead Wynnum Manly Yacht Club’s transition to a club-operated, integrated food and beverage model. The role supports the day-to-day delivery of café, bar, functions, social events, member services and sailing event hospitality under the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club brand.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an emerging hospitality professional who is ready to prove themselves. The successful candidate will have enough operational experience to supervise service from day one, while also bringing the ambition, energy and discipline to grow into broader venue leadership over time.
Head Chef - Full Time
The Head Chef will lead the kitchen operation as Wynnum Manly Yacht Club transitions to a club-operated food and beverage model. The role is responsible for delivering consistent food quality, practical menu execution, food safety, kitchen discipline, stock control and efficient labour use across café trade, member dining, functions, social events and sailing regatta support.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a capable chef who can run a reliable, simple and commercially disciplined kitchen. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Club Manager and Food and Beverage Supervisor to build a food offer that supports the Club’s overall hospitality strategy rather than operating the café as a stand-alone business.
Barista - Part Time
The Barista will support WMYC’s transition to a Club-operated food and beverage model by delivering consistent, friendly and efficient café service under the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club brand. The role is central to creating a welcoming member and visitor experience, supporting public-facing café trade, assisting event and regatta service, and working as part of an integrated food and beverage team alongside the bar operation.
Kitchen Hand - Part Time
The Kitchen Hand supports the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club kitchen by assisting with dishwashing, cleaning, basic food preparation, stock handling and service support. The role helps maintain a clean, organised and welcoming hospitality environment for members, guests and visitors.
