About Wynnum Manly Yacht Club

Since 1962, Wynnum Manly Yacht Club has been at the heart of life on Moreton Bay. What began as a vision from a group of local sailors—to create a welcoming, “all boat” club—has grown into one of the region’s most vibrant boating communities.

Today, WMYC brings together sailors, cruisers, paddlers and social members who share a love of the water and the lifestyle that comes with it.

Life on the Bay

Our cruising community is a cornerstone of the club, with regular day trips, overnight adventures, and long weekend getaways throughout the year. It’s the perfect way to explore Moreton Bay, build confidence on the water, and connect with other members—whether you’re a seasoned skipper or just starting out.

The annual Inter Club Bay Cruise is a highlight on the calendar and a favourite for many members.

Sailing & Racing

Competitive sailing thrives here, with yacht racing proudly coordinated by Wynnum Manly Sailing Club since 1997.

From iconic regattas like the Saint Helena Cup to social Sunday afternoon races, there’s something for every level of sailor—whether you’re racing hard or just out to enjoy the breeze.

A Diverse On-Water Community

Since 2006, the Manly Dragon Boat Club has called WMYC home, bringing energy and achievement to the club. Their regular training sessions and success at national and international levels add to the dynamic spirit of our waterfront.

WMYC is as much about community as it is about the water.

Members enjoy a lively social scene with regular dining events, trivia nights, entertainment, and relaxed Sunday afternoons at the bar. With a stunning waterfront setting, spacious patio, and BBQ area, it’s the perfect place to unwind, connect, and enjoy everything the bayside lifestyle has to offer.
