Looking for a fun and relaxed way to get out on Moreton Bay, meet new people, and try something new? Our Women's Sailing program welcomes women of all ages* to experience sailing in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether you've never stepped aboard a boat before or you're returning to the sport, you'll be warmly welcomed both on the water and at the club.
No sailing experience is required. Before heading out, you'll receive a short safety briefing, and every yacht is skippered by an experienced sailor. Simply come along, enjoy the experience, and take in the stunning views of Moreton Bay.
After sailing, stay and connect with new friends over a drink on our beautiful terrace overlooking the harbour. It's a great opportunity to become part of the WMYC community and discover why so many women enjoy sailing with us.
We will do our best to place you on the same boat as friends and family members who register with you. Children aged 10 to 18 years are welcome to participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian. For safety reasons, each adult may supervise one child aboard a yacht.
Sailing at WMYC is accessible to people of all ages who do not require external mobility aids. If you use mobility aids and would like to experience sailing, we encourage you to explore the opportunities available through the Queensland Sailability program.
*Participation requirements and minimum ages may apply for some activities.
We look forward to welcoming you on shore and on the water.
